About you

As a new member of the Global Privacy Team, you will get to make a positive difference to people’s lives  collaborating with internal corporate functions, providing consultancy and support in the implementation and monitoring of compliance of activities and processes with applicable regulations.

Your role

As a Global Privacy Senior Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

• Data Protection Compliance: conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), maintain processing records, and oversee compliance with GDPR, Legislative Decree 2003/196 and its amendments, as well as rulings from the Data Protection Authority.
• Privacy Process Optimization: monitor, manage, and drive improvements in corporate privacy processes to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Regulatory Assurance: assess and verify the compliance of internal processes, systems, and IT architectures with applicable regulations and standards.
• Contractual Negotiations: provide expert support in contract negotiations, both client-side and supplier-side, focusing on data protection requirements such as Data Protection Agreements (DPAs) and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
• Awareness and Training: design and deliver training programmes and awareness initiatives on data protection topics, fostering a culture of compliance and accountability.
• Privacy by Design and Default: collaborate with corporate functions to implement privacy by design and by default principles.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work closely with IT, Legal, and all other global departments to address all matters related to personal data protection.
• Policy Development: develop, refine, and update corporate policies and procedures to align with evolving data protection requirements.

What you will need
  • Previous experience of at least 3 years in similar role.
  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Law or similar, ideally complemented by a specialization in data protection.
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong regulatory expertise. A thorough understanding of national and EU regulations on personal data protection, including GDPR, Legislative Decree 2003/196 and its amendments, rulings by the Data Protection Authority, and European Data Protection Board (EDPB) opinions.
  • Familiarity with international standards and frameworks in data protection plus cybersecurity principles and practices.
  • Solid knowledge of the Artificial Intelligence Regulation (AI Act).
  • Proficiency in privacy management platforms (such as OneTrust) will be considered a plus.
