Sentem-se demasiado jovens para serem millennials, mas tamb\u00e9m velhos demais para pertencerem \u00e0 gera\u00e7\u00e3o Z (dos zoomers). Quem se inclui, afinal, nesta nova gera\u00e7\u00e3o zillennial? Al\u00e9m disso, como encaram estes jovens trabalhadores o mercado de trabalho?<\/p><h2>O que \u00e9 a nova gera\u00e7\u00e3o zillennial?<\/h2><p>A nova gera\u00e7\u00e3o zillennial consiste numa microgera\u00e7\u00e3o constitu\u00edda pelas pessoas que nasceram entre 1993 e 1998. De facto, s\u00f3 recentemente surgiu a necessidade de criar esta designa\u00e7\u00e3o, pois muitos millennials (nascidos entre 1981 e 1996) n\u00e3o se enquadram nem se reveem na descri\u00e7\u00e3o da sua suposta gera\u00e7\u00e3o. Por outro lado, tamb\u00e9m n\u00e3o se identificam totalmente com todas as principais caracter\u00edsticas da gera\u00e7\u00e3o Z (cujos membros nasceram entre 1997 e 2012).<\/p><p>Afinal, esta nova gera\u00e7\u00e3o zillennial ainda se lembra de ver filmes em DVD e de ouvir um CD, como os millennials. Contudo, de certo modo, sente-se com muitas compet\u00eancias digitais, porque, quando chegou ao Ensino Secund\u00e1rio, j\u00e1 a maioria da popula\u00e7\u00e3o possu\u00eda um <em>smartphone<\/em> e utilizava Wi-Fi. Assim, os zillennials n\u00e3o se recordam do mundo sem Internet e cresceram com <em>smartphones<\/em> e redes sociais, tal como a gera\u00e7\u00e3o Z.<\/p><p>Surgindo no limiar entre a gera\u00e7\u00e3o millennial e a gera\u00e7\u00e3o Z, eram ainda beb\u00e9s quando ocorreu o ataque \u00e0s Torres G\u00e9meas, em Nova Iorque. Como refere Deborah Carr, professora de Sociologia e diretora do Centro de Inova\u00e7\u00e3o em Ci\u00eancias Sociais da Universidade de Boston, <a href=\"https:\/\/cnnportugal.iol.pt\/zillennials\/millennials\/eis-os-zillennials-conheca-a-mais-recente-microgeracao\/20230514\/645e1a6ed34ea91b0aac6ca2\">citada pela CNN<\/a>, a nova gera\u00e7\u00e3o zillennial praticamente n\u00e3o se lembra do mundo antes dos fortes controlos de seguran\u00e7a nos aeroportos ou de viver sem a amea\u00e7a do terrorismo e de outros fen\u00f3menos globais, como pandemias.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h3>As principais caracter\u00edsticas da nova gera\u00e7\u00e3o zillennial<\/h3><p>Perante este contexto, como se sente e como se comporta esta nova gera\u00e7\u00e3o zillennial? Destacam-se diversas particularidades espec\u00edficas, a saber:<\/p><ul><li>Neste momento, constitui a gera\u00e7\u00e3o mais conectada de sempre, integrando facilmente as novas tecnologias no mercado de trabalho! Relativamente \u00e0 ades\u00e3o a jogos e \u00e0 utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o de redes sociais, superam os millennials. J\u00e1 em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com a gera\u00e7\u00e3o Z, passam mais tempo a ler not\u00edcias nas plataformas <em>online<\/em>.<\/li><li>Mais de um ter\u00e7o dos adultos zillennials ainda vive em casa dos pais. Segundo a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/zillennial-lives-with-parents-spends-on-luxury-goods-2023-1?utm_source=facebook&amp;utm_medium=news_tab&amp;mibextid=Zxz2cZ\"><em>Business Insider<\/em><\/a>, tal \u00e9 o caso de 48% dos zillennials americanos. A par do seu emprego est\u00e1vel, a sua situa\u00e7\u00e3o habitacional d\u00e1-lhes alguma disponibilidade financeira para consumirem.<\/li><li>Preferem despender mais dinheiro em produtos sustent\u00e1veis ou com garantias \u00e9ticas, considerando a sustentabilidade ambiental mais importante do que o nome da marca. Ainda assim, revelam alguma pondera\u00e7\u00e3o quando se trata de gastos financeiros. Segundo a publica\u00e7\u00e3o sobre servi\u00e7os financeiros <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pymnts.com\/news\/retail\/2023\/zillennials-with-steady-income-few-bills-are-prime-retail-opportunity\/\"><em>PYMNTS<\/em><\/a>, mais de metade deste grupo (54%) tem emprego a tempo integral. Ali\u00e1s, apenas cerca de 12% destes jovens no mercado de trabalho est\u00e3o em <em>part-time<\/em>. Sabe-se ainda que metade dos zillennials t\u00eam adotado plataformas de trabalho tempor\u00e1rio como ferramentas para encontrar uma ocupa\u00e7\u00e3o profissional em regime <em>freelancer<\/em>.<\/p><p>Todavia, estarem no mercado de trabalho n\u00e3o significa que se sintam ajustados. Apesar de ainda influenciados pela ideia passada pelos pais de que \u00e9 preciso trabalhar muito para conseguir vingar no mundo profissional, a verdade \u00e9 que esta gera\u00e7\u00e3o n\u00e3o se encaixa nesse padr\u00e3o. Afinal, n\u00e3o se deveria valorizar tamb\u00e9m a sa\u00fade f\u00edsica e mental, o equil\u00edbrio entre a vida profissional e pessoal?<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h3>Os zillennials e o trabalho no mundo p\u00f3s-pand\u00e9mico<\/h3><p>A pandemia veio, de alguma forma, dar-lhes raz\u00e3o, criando abertura para que as empresas cedessem \u00e0s reivindica\u00e7\u00f5es desta gera\u00e7\u00e3o e para a evolu\u00e7\u00e3o do mercado de trabalho em Portugal. Atualmente, quando ponderam um poss\u00edvel emprego, os zillennials colocam na balan\u00e7a n\u00e3o s\u00f3 a remunera\u00e7\u00e3o, mas tamb\u00e9m o seu bem-estar, a \u00e9tica laboral e a cultura da empresa. Al\u00e9m disso, apreciam pol\u00edticas de sustentabilidade ambiental, de responsabilidade social e diversidade no ambiente de trabalho.<\/p><p>Mesmo sabendo que arrisca ser considerada \u201cpregui\u00e7osa\u201d ou \u201cinconstante\u201d \u2014 neste caso, porque troca de emprego com alguma frequ\u00eancia \u2014, a nova gera\u00e7\u00e3o zillennial valoriza um ambiente de trabalho saud\u00e1vel, humano, no qual possa crescer e desenvolver-se.<\/p><p>Al\u00e9m disso, estes trabalhadores preferem flexibilidade de hor\u00e1rio de trabalho e exercer fun\u00e7\u00f5es em teletrabalho durante alguns dias (trabalho h\u00edbrido), para poderem construir uma vida mais equilibrada. Tudo isto porque sentem que o trabalho n\u00e3o os define: este \u00e9 apenas uma parte das suas vidas.<\/p><p>Contratar pessoas que, hoje, t\u00eam cerca de 25-30 anos significa apostar numa gera\u00e7\u00e3o que, simultaneamente, est\u00e1 disposta a mostrar todo o seu profissionalismo, mas tem plena no\u00e7\u00e3o de que o \u201ctrabalho n\u00e3o \u00e9 tudo\u201d. Ali\u00e1s, a vida profissional constitui, sem d\u00favida, apenas uma parcela do seu mundo. Conseguiremos ter abertura para aprender com esta nova gera\u00e7\u00e3o
